THE FIRM

Our professional history began in a large American law firm, where we met more than 20 years ago and where we each gained experience.

In 2014, Caroline Canavese and Christelle Fouchet created the firm « Canavese & Fouchet Avocats », before Sophie Mouthon joined them in 2020 to build « CFM Avocats ».

Our main areas of expertise, which are labor law, corporate law and tax law, are three complementary pillars present in the majority of our cases, thus creating an obvious synergy.

Our common professional history has given rise to a great complicity, which is our strength and an asset appreciated by both our clients and partners.

Biography

After more than 10 years spent in the labor law department of recognized Anglo-Saxon firms, Caroline Canavese joined a CAC 40 company, which allowed her to acquire a global vision of the company and to master its major social issues.

Based on her experience with unions, she published a book “How to manage social relationships within a company”.

Biography

Driven by independence and ethics, Christelle has chosen to undertake a career as a lawyer. Serving as Bank’s Head of Internal Audit, she developed transversal competencies in strategic areas and a strong expertise in governance matters. Thanks to her experience abroad, she was able to practice on an international level and advice French and foreign clients.

The close and trust-based relationship that she creates with her clients enables her to support them over the long term for their ordinary or structuring transactions in business law.

Biography

After more than 20 years of challenging professional activity within the prestigious American law firm Latham & Watkins, Sophie Mouthon joined CFM Avocats, on January 1st, 2020, in order to develop the tax practice. Sophie works with corporate and high-net-worth individual, advising them on both private and professional issues in a domestic and international context. She has developed particular expertise in the areas of high level executive and high level professional compensation, the structuring of global shareholding plans and management packages in the context of private equity transactions, impatriation and expatriation schemes linked to the mobility of company employees and top managers, partnerships, trusts and estate planning issues.

She also advises and assists clients on pre-litigation and litigation in tax and social security matters. Sophie has developed a very close working relationship with her clients.

Biography

Marine Delatte joined CFM Avocats in September 2021 after spending a year in the individual tax department of a French business law firm. Her areas of expertise allow her to provide legal and tax advice to individuals for the management of their private and professional assets.

Marine is also involved in the structuring and transmission of family groups, tax residence’s transfer, international inheritance and gift tax. Marine provide services to individuals clients for their tax reassessment and their annual tax filling.

Biography

Prior to joining CFM in 2022, Sarah has worked for nearly 10 years in the employment law teams of international and French law firms. Sarah assists companies in the management of their labour relations, on a day to day basis and employment issues relating to TUPE and M&A transactions. She also defends companies and executives before French courts and administrations.

Sarah represented companies in sensitive matters relating to: multiple litigations by employees, occupational health, working hours, sexual and moral harassment, discrimination, freedom of speech, social security contributions...
